Andy Hargreaves is Visiting Professor at the University of Ottawa in Canada and Research Professor at Boston College in the US. He is an elected member of the US National Academy of Education, former President of the International Congress of School Effectiveness and Improvement (2018-2020), former Adviser in Education to the Premier of Ontario (2015-2018), and current adviser to the First Minister of Scotland. Andy is co-founder and president of the ARC Education Collaboratory.
Andy has published more than 30 books and has 8 Outstanding Writing Awards. An exceptional keynote speaker and workshop leader, he has delivered invited addresses in more than 50 countries, 47 US states, and all Australian and Canadian states and provinces. He has been honoured in Canada, the US, and the UK for services to public education and educational research and is ranked by Education Week (US) as the #15 scholar with the most influence on the US education policy debate.

Yngve is the CEO of LearnLab and is an acknowledged speaker, consultant, founder, leader, and project leader. He is co-founder of the Atlantic Rim Collaboratory.

His passion is to co-create digital tools that activate the learning processes for students and educators. Yngve believes that the future will revolve around co-learning and learning from mistakes. He believes that we must abandon training for tests and focus on learning for life.

One of Yngve’s driving questions is: How can we co-create deeper capacity for the next century where equity and global awareness are the goals?

Tore Skandsen has over 25 years of international development experience in the educational sector. He has worked with both schools, districts, and governments, and has led several comprehensive projects with developing educational systems on a regional and national basis.

For the last decade, Tore has been the CEO of The IMTEC foundation, where he is still employed today. In addition to the work in IMTEC, Tore works with the Centre for Studies of Educational Practice which is part of the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences.

Tore has been active in building up ARC from the start and is a member of the ARC secretariat.

His passion and motto is: “What have you done today to make the world a better place”

Steve Munby

Steve Munby is a self-employed consultant and speaker on leadership and on system reform. He has spent his whole career in education, commencing as a secondary school teacher in Birmingham, England. He later became Director of Education for Knowsley Local Education Authority in Merseyside. Steve was Chief Executive of the National College for School Leadership in England and then Chief Executive of Education Development Trust, an international education charity.

Steve is the facilitator for the ARC summits and a member of the ARC Secretariat. He is Visiting Professor at University College London Center for Educational Leadership, Honorary Visiting Professor at Liverpool Hope University and is Chair of the Teaching Awards Trust in the UK.

Steve’s publications include: “Imperfect Leadership – A book for leaders who know they don’t know it all” Crown House, 2019. His forthcoming book: Imperfect Leadership in Action – a practical book for school leaders who know they don’t know it all, co-authored with MarieClaire Bretherton, will be published in March/April 2022 (Crown House).
