ARC's response to Covid-19
With just over half of the world’s students out of school due to the COVID-19 pandemic (Education International, 2020), it is time to collaborate more than ever. Working together we can express our needs, identify what is working, and apply what is proving successful for our counterparts now to address the needs of students particularly those with existing equity issues.

Framed around the eight guiding ARC principles, an ARC Thoughtmeet is a virtual bringing together of ideas and minds to create swift, timely, and practical collective solutions to urgent problems
The initial vision of the ARC is to establish a global group of educational systems that advances values such as equity, excellence, wellbeing, inclusion, democracy and human rights for all students within high-quality, professionally-run systems.
The idea for the ARC Education project evolved over a period of time through explorations with interested systems, but it was fully born and founded in a Toronto restaurant in December 2013, and further developed at the 2014 International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI) congress in Glasgow, Scotland…..
