The Province of Nova Scotia is pleased to be a partner in ARC.  Nova Scotia sees education as the foundation in developing and fostering engaged citizens, strong communities, and robust economic growth. The Government of Nova Scotia is committed to improving student outcomes and classroom conditions through an inclusive and equitable system.  We believe that an effective education system must have student learning and success at its center, supported by high standards for teaching and leadership, a dynamic curriculum, and strong governance and administrative framework that ensures all elements are working together. Our vision for education aligns closely with the values of the Atlantic Rim Collaboratory.

Nova Scotia has been undergoing a process to reform our education system.  This involves making sure that we have the supports, partnerships, and resources necessary to help all students succeed, with additional supports to help those students who may be struggling in a particular area.  We are making changes to our education system to ensure that we are able to deliver those supports effectively. We look forward to participating in ARC and working with other jurisdictions to share and explore innovative practices for delivering high-quality education in an inclusive setting.
