Dennis Shirley is Professor of Education at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College in Chestnut Hills, Massachusetts. He is Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Educational Change, an indispensable resource for school leaders. Shirley has conducted research and led professional development workshops for teachers, principals, and affiliated staff in 30 nations in 6 continents and his work has been translated into many languages. His most recent book is entitled The New Imperatives of Educational Change: Achievement with Integrity. Shirley is currently leading two research teams based at Boston College. The first of these is studying a network of innovative schools affiliated with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education in South Korea. The second is sponsored by the Bosch Foundation in Berlin, Germany, and is focused on studying the human-technology frontier in schools and society. He holds a doctorate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
